Jonas Hedqvists first single "I Am What I Am", was released in 2001 and was the first official song for Stockholm Pride as well as the first official pride anthem ever. The success single topped several Swedish sales charts and was followed by a club tour that went on for over a year. Subsequent singles have all entered the Swedish lists, with a Top 3 on the singles list and a Top 5 on Sweden Top 40 as best placements. With Summer High, Jonas was named "Newcomer of the Year" in the United Kingdom and both "Welcome To My World" and "Discover The Night" have been not only noticeable at home but also abroad, perhaps especially in the US where Jonas tour "Welcome to my world " went on for an extended run and gained lots of critical acclaim from the audience as well as the press. 2011 marked the 10 year anniversary of the release of I am what I am and this was celebrated with a new recording production with special guests, the iconic disco trio Afro-Dite, winners in the Swedish competition for Eurovision Song Contest.
